About the Author

I’ve lived, worked, and studied abroad in France on numerous occasions. Paris, 2010, Paris 2011, Besançon (summer 2012) and most recently I lived in the Rhône-Alpes, 2015.

As an American, I opened my own French bank account, rented my own apartment and set up my utilities (phone, internet, TV, electricity). I completed the French immigration process and integrated myself with a few French social programs. I also communicated with co-workers, made friends, and dated French people.

During my time abroad, I realized how much French culture impacted my life. So in 2011, I started FrenchCrazy to help spread the joys of learning French and living in France. Everything we do here at FrenchCrazy keeps that mission in mind. Its how our site has reached millions of people across the globe.

So is this course for everyone?

Generally speaking, yes. I’ve already sold this guide to people living in the USA, Canada, the UK, and Australia. That’s because this course adds tools to your disposal to make moving to France happen.

But please realize that I can never hold your hand 100%. You’ll need to take action on your end too.

You’ll need patience while waiting for papers to go back-and-forth. You’ll need to save some money. You’ll have to spend some time looking for a place. These are minor obstacles, but it’s doable. I’m no special snowflake and I managed just fine.

I also learned that there is no “perfect” time to move to another country. You have to work with what you’ve got and commit to the idea of one day living in France.

If that sounds like you then I invite you to try our Live in France course. The details within can help you either make the move to France or even just help you decide if moving to France is right for you.

Why does the guide cost money?
