COMPREHENSION DIFFICULTY: EASY

One reason I love this song is Mélanie’s beautiful voice, the da-da-da part always coaxes me into singing along. The music is very laid back and I adore the bass line (obviously because I play bass). TO me however, this song lacks good lyrics… sure it has a message, but it’s rather repetitive. I classified this song as Easy to comprehend for intermediate French learners due to the slow, easy word flow and uninspiring lyrics. 

Mélanie Pain was just a small time girl from Aix-en-Provence who began working in design. Her recorded voice was overheard by the band Nouvelle Vague, and she was offered to be their singer. After touring with the band for 5 years, Mélanie eventually released her solo album, My Name, in 2009. This song “Ignore-moi” is on said album.
