for example, i don’t know that book is a masculine word and i don’t know whether car is a feminine word, so how exactly we determine the word?
If you use any (online) French dictionary, for nouns they’ll usually write the abbreviations “nf” (feminine noun) or “nm” (masculine noun)… For most French nouns, it’s simply a matter of committing the gender to memory.
Hi pls tell,
If la, le is not written before a noun. How to check or know that this noun is masculine or feminine ie. How to know that before the given noun which will be used whether le or la.
Good question, whenever you learn a noun for the first time, you should look up its gender. Once you get more accustom to French then knowing the genders becomes a matter of intuition.
